Cultivating Cultural Consciousness
Cultivating Cultural Consciousness invites settlers - particularly those of us racialized as white - to examine how we show up while living, settling, visiting, and moving through Indigenous lands, and what responsibility that requires of us. This is not only about learning about cultures or communities beyond our own. It is about understanding the histories of colonization - both within our own ancestral lineages and across Indigenous lands globally - and examining how we have been shaped within these systems. Through reflection, dialogue, and guided exploration, participants are supported in recognizing patterns of consumption, appropriation, and extraction, and in shifting toward more accountable and relational ways of being. This is not a passive learning experience. It is an ongoing process of unlearning, responsibility, and transformation.
Regenerative Wellness Practices
Lokah is a space for returning - to the rhythms of nature, to our own bodies, and to ways of being that are grounded in relationship rather than disconnection. This work recognizes that what is often called “wellness” has been shaped by colonial systems that prioritize individualism, perfection, and external solutions. Through Lokah, we shift toward a regenerative approach - one that supports the dismantling of colonial identities, the reclamation of sovereignty, and the embodiment of true reconciliation with self, others, and the land. These practices are not about optimization or escape. They are about remembering, reconnecting, and realigning. Through embodied, reflective, and nature-aligned experiences, Lokah offers a container for engaging this work in a way that is relational, accountable, and rooted in reciprocity.
